For the first time in its history, Interovic participates in the international benchmark fair in Southeast Asia
Spanish sheep and goat meat lands at the Speciality Fine & Food Singapore
On July 18, 2019, the Speciality Fine & Food International Fair opened in Singapore until Friday, July 19, 2019. It is the first time that Interovic participates in this fair, one of the most important in Southeast Asia where a large number of professionals from all over the continent meet. This action is part of the agreement between INTEROVIC and PROVACUNO with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) for the promotion of sheepmeat, goatmeat and beef in third country markets.
Throughout the week, Interovic will carry out an important agenda of activities. Among them, a meeting to be held between Spanish businessmen and local importers with the aim of establishing future commercial relations. The Spanish Ambassador to Singapore, Santiago Miralles Huete, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Almudena Mínguez, as well as representatives of the Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in Singapore will also attend this meeting.
During the fair, the renowned chef Fernando del Cerro, from the Casa José de Aranjuez restaurant, is in charge of transmitting and making visitors aware of the goodness and differentiating characteristics of lamb and goat meat.
The promotion of the internationalisation of the sheep and goat sector continues to be one of the objectives of the inter-branch sector, and in particular the opening up of this market to allow the export of these meats. For this reason, an important group of businessmen from the main meat industries in the country, such as Coviher, Moralejo, Murgaca and Roca, travelled here.
